Welcome to MY LIGHT, a Catholic centered magazine for children. The goal is to help Catholic and other Christian children nurture a deeper relationship with God. Many of our children know about God, but don't have that connection with Him. We aim to be a lightened path from our children to God Himself.

Melissa at A Third Way has a really nice post about mealtime prayers.
Our family makes a point to give thanks before each meal and each of the girls rotate being "Prayer Leader". This is an honor that they look forward to and has become a very natural part of our routine.
We also take the opportunity to share something that each of us is thankful for. Often, for the kids, this something will be on the plate in front of them- but we also remember family, teachers and friends. It's a great way to slow down for a few moments, recall the people and things that are most special to us, and to thank God for it all.
